Affiliate disclosure
This site is reader-funded through affiliate commission. Here is exactly how that works.
We earn commission on qualifying purchases
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the merchant pays us a percentage of the sale. The price you pay is identical to the price you would pay arriving at that page any other way; commission comes out of the merchant's margin, not your wallet.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Product prices and availability on Amazon are accurate as of the dated check shown on each product and are subject to change; the price displayed on the Amazon product page at the time of purchase applies.
Direct merchant programmes
Where a product is sold only through the manufacturer's own checkout, we may participate in that brand's affiliate programme on the same terms. This is disclosed on the page where the product is ranked, alongside the fact that no marketplace listing exists for price comparison.
What commission does not buy
No brand can pay for a position in a ranking, approve or preview a review, or require the removal of a criticism. Rankings are set before commercial terms are considered, and where our top pick pays a higher rate than a lower-ranked product we still publish its drawbacks in full.
Why we disclose
Because you are entitled to know the commercial context of a recommendation, and because consumer-protection rules in the EU, UK and US require it. Disclosure appears at the top of every page that carries affiliate links, not only here.
