TL;DR

The GOOTOP is the traditional hanging zapper done competently: a 4200V grid, a replaceable UV bulb, three-prong plug, and close to 30,000 ratings behind it. ABS plastic outer cage around a metal grid with a removable collection tray at the base. It is light for its size, which is the point — the hanging loop is doing all the work. The plastic feels thin in the hand but the design is decades old and well proven at this price.

First impressions

Plug it in, hang it above head height, and it starts working immediately. The blue glow is bright enough to be noticeable from indoors, which some people find reassuring and others find annoying through a bedroom window.

How it performs in real use
